USTH welcomed students from MaSSP Summer Camp 2017
MaSSP is a Summer Camp for Maths and Science (Computer Science, Physics and Chemical Engineering) to improve knowledge for high school students and to familiarize them with the learning environment of advanced countries.
This summer camp is held from June 19 to July 1 with 60 students selected from high schools around Vietnam. There are four courses in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Chemical Engineering taught and guided by doctoral students who are studying or have graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, École Polytechnique and other prestigious training institutions in the world.

USTH has always put efforts in supporting high schools and clubs to organize activities to nurture their students' science and technology love and interest. On June 19, 2017, USTH opened our labs and welcomed the students of the MaSSP Summer Camp 2017 to visit and participate in scientific experiments in our labs.
29 students and 10 volunteers attended an interesting seminar, in which Mr. Tran Dinh Phong, Co-Director of Department of Advanced Technology and Nanotechnology, shared NANO research projects currently being taken at NENS Lab. Then, they visited Space, Physics and WEO Labs under the guidance of USTH students and lecturers.

In particular, 5 students from MaSSP 2017 will have hands-on lab sessions at the lab of Department of Advanced Technology and Nanotechnology.
Tran Thanh Thien said, "I was introduced to USTH by MaSSP 2017 to learn about new research and technologies, and especially laboratories which I have never been to. Actually, I learnt a lot of new science knowledge, especially after meeting Mr. Phong and hearing about artificial leaves to convert solar energy into electrical energy. At the end of my trip, my passion for science has grown tremendously. "
