Introduction

The Master in « SPACE » (Earth Observation - Astrophysics - Satellite Technologies) of the Department of Space & Aeronautics (DSA) of the USTH (Vietnam France University) is a unique educational structure in Vietnam for future scientists who will participate in the development of the space science and applications in Vietnam in the next decade. Graduate students will acquire a strong base in space science and space technology, management, project coordination and foreign languages, in addition to learning collaboration skills while doing work managed by international experts. To achieve this goal, the student has the possibility to attend one of the 2 specialities of the master:

1. SPACE : Science from Space (Earth Observation-Astrophysics)
2. SPACE : Satellite Technologies

 Space Sciences and Satellite Technologies  are symbols of a highly-developed, technology-based country. In the XXI century, they provide the best access to a powerful and sustainable economy. In Vietnam, the State is pushing the development of a Space industry, in order to contribute to the public economic benefits and also to assert the sovereignty of Vietnam in space, as fits the position of a country with ninety millions inhabitants. The Master training system at the USTH is recognized by the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). It lasts two years 4 semesters (2 years), for a total of 120 ECTS (30 ECTS per semester). During the 2nd semester of the 2nd Master year, students have the opportunity to spend a training period in worldwide universities (including the French and Vietnamese institutions participating in the Master), R&D centers and manufacturing establishments in the aerospace industry. The Master degree is co-accredited by Vietnam and France and the diploma is delivered by USTH and one of the three French institutions participating in the Master: - Montpellier University (Assoc.Prof. Eric Nuss) - Paris Observatory (Prof. Benoît Mosser) - Paris Diderot University (Dr. Yannick Giraud-Héraud) - Paris-Est Créteil University (Prof Martin Schwell)
